This recognition believes DSTV is being introduced into the prestigious African Hall of Fame. This is reserved for an iconic African brand that has significantly shaped the continent's global image and competitiveness over the years.
The announcement came at a well-known ceremony held at the UN Economic Commission in Africa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. There, leaders from the entire African media and branding landscape gathered to celebrate the continent's most influential brands.

Each year, the Brand Africa 100 survey identifies the most admired brands across the continent, based on independent research conducted in over 30 African countries representing Africa's population and more than 85% of GDP, with over 150,000 brand mentions and 5,930 unique brands.
The rankings are compiled through a rigorous process led by research partners such as GeoPoll, Kantar, Integrate, Analysis, and other research partners, making them the only Pan-Africa, research-driven and non-profit brand equity research of their kind.
The DSTV's Hall of Fame steers further strengthen its position not only as a media brand, but as a cultural force that continues to shape the narrative and stimulates the pride of Africa as a whole.
