dTo gain an interest in the UE program, Innovate Durban has extended its appeal for the Startup Support Program 2025, a dynamic 12-month accelerated mentorship initiative designed to support early-stage innovators and startups focused on regional economic development (LED).
Starting in June 2025 and running until May 2026, the impact program will guide selected participants from ideas to market preparation through structured training, dedicated mentorship and real-world exposure.
Innovate Durban seeks motivated, creative South African innovators between the ages of 18 and 35 and lives in Kwazulu-Natal, who are committed to using the technology and innovations of the community to solve looming economic challenges. The program aims to support solutions that are pre-prototype or pre-stage, and provide critical support to evolve into a viable enterprise. By addressing the economic challenges associated with a particular region through innovative solutions, communities can stimulate employment, promote growth and unlock comprehensive development.
Who should apply?
South African citizens aged 18-35 are residents of Kwazulu-Natal innovators with early stage or pre-prototype ideas projects addressing local economic challenges, and people with disabilities must be able to fully commit to the programme schedule, including all training, challenges and mentorship sessions.
