Dar Es Salaam – On the 100th anniversary of television, Hisense, the leader of global home appliances, held its 2025 product launch event at Dar Es Salaam, unveiling the most advanced products in the Tanzania market: the 116-inch RGB Minildtv 116ux.
In addition to this launch, Hisense unveiled the latest developments in the global smart home ecosystem, highlighting the brand's strengths in innovation and its commitment to delivering the next generation of digital living experiences.
The 116ux is the world's first large-screen TV with an RGB Miniel backlight system.
Equipped with Hisense's own development Hi-View Engine X chip, it features cutting-edge AI-driven image processing, advanced light and color adjustment, color reproduction, contrast and significant improvements in energy efficiency, redefine the premium television experience.

Hisense has set an ambitious goal of becoming a major home appliance brand in the Middle East and Africa by 2027. It is supported by five strategic pillars: multi-brand collaboration, high-end product leadership, smart infrastructure development, market localization and brand impact enhancement.
Since entering the South African market in 1996, Hisense has steadily expanded the region's footprint, establishing a manufacturing base in South Africa and opening its first regional R&D centre in Dubai in 2024.
These moves will allow companies to tailor innovations to the needs of local consumers and support sustainable local growth.
Hisense ranked globally number one in 2024 big screen TV cargo, according to global research firm Omdia. This reflects the growing competitiveness and influence in the Global Premium segment.
Also featured at the event was ConnectLife, Hisense's unique smart home platform.
With seamless AI and IoT integration, the platform connects a wide range of smart appliances, allowing voice control and intelligent scene adjustments.

The 116ux is also a model of sustainable innovation, offering ultra-high-grade definition and brightness while improving energy efficiency by around 20% compared to traditional high-end models.
The television is certified by Pantone and Dolby Vision and demonstrates Hisense's commitment to both performance and environmental responsibility.
