The conference was held in Morocco in North and West Africa, Cameroon in Central and East Africa, and Zambia in South Africa, South Africa, with an overarching theme of the implementation of the AFCFTA, addressing economic diversification and energy deficits respectively.
The events were frequently attended by representatives from government, business and civil society.
Each region has made its own recommendations to both the ECA and its member states and the local economic community.
ECA recommendations for various regions included. The development of the Blue Economy in East Africa, in particular, supports efforts to accelerate a fair energy transition, provides technical support for implementing the national AFCFTA strategy, develops frameworks to track the implementation of ICSOE recommendations, build capacity and improves quality of statistics in Africa, and improves financial mobilization and debt management.

Establishing an investment in R&D and regional research hub, promoting food security import replacement, improving AFCFTA awareness, investing in regional infrastructure, addressing energy flaws, intermittent investment in sector investments, strengthening public-private sector partnerships, addressing digital disparities in North and West Africa
