Vice President Paul Mashatair Will will be taking part in a business breakfast engagement session on the Transformation Fund on Monday.
The Change Fund is a key initiative aimed at accelerating change across various sectors in South Africa and supporting black and black-managed businesses. The session, hosted by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC), will be held by Parkstau at the Freedom Park Heritage and Museum in Pretoria.
The conference will be held in collaboration with the National Empowerment Fund. It provides valuable insight into its objectives and scope of benefits, including promoting economic change through the provision of financial and non-financial assistance to black-owned businesses, allowing meaningful participation in the economy.
“The Transformation Fund is also intended to improve access to funding for Black-owned and managed businesses, particularly small, medium, medium, micro-enterprise (SMME) and cooperatives. It aims to concentrate resources from existing businesses and supplier development (ESD) obligations to support the sustainability and growth of Black-owned businesses and mobilize financial resources from both the public and public sectors using black-based economic sectors, president of the statement Sunday.
Last month, Minister Tau announced an extension of the deadline for public comments on the draft conversion fund conceptual document.
The extension is from the original date on May 7, 2025 to May 28, 2025.
