Johannesburg – Leaklist of appointments to the Sector Education and Training Agency (SETA) committee revealed shocking political sponsorship, including the son of Africa's National Parliament (ANC) loyalists and party chair and energy minister Gwede Mantashe, and former Prime Minister Kwazl Natal.

SETA boards must serve people, not ANC elite
The SETA board is important for addressing unemployment and skills development, but the Nkabane appointing minister prioritizes political loyalty over merit.
The DA is written urgently to Congress to summon the Minister for questioning.
Khakhau warned: “The DA will not allow Setas to become the ANC deployment committee.
“We fight for transparency and skill-based appointments that benefit all South Africans.”

The Parliamentary DA has urgently summoned the Minister of Higher Education and Training to the chairman of the Portfolio Committee on Higher Education and Training to appear before the committee.
“The DA will not allow these institutions to be captured and reused to benefit narrow political elites at the expense of ordinary South Africans,” Kahu said.
