JOHANNESBURG – The Lobos Railway Tour confirmed that a gorgeous train collided with a train of Zimbabwean goods on Good Friday, revealing that 47 passengers were not injured.

MacLean added: “This occurred on the BBR Line (Beitbridge bulawayo Railway). The cause of the accident is being investigated.
“There were 47 guests and 34 staff on board.
“Our guests were not sustained.
“Four staff have been seen by doctors and are expected to recover in the next two weeks.”
On Friday at 12.30, all guests disembarked the train and were transferred to a hotel in Bulawayo.
On Saturday, April 19th, they flew from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls where they arranged accommodation.
By the end of April, two Rovos Rail locomotives and four affected coaches will be returned to South African headquarters.
During its 36 years of operation, Rovos Rail continues to comply with all railway safety regulations.
“We have traveled consistently through the BBR line for over 20 years, and have never had any serious incidents,” McLean said.
“We take pride in the experience we provide to our guests.
“We sincerely regret this incident, but please rest assured that the safety and happiness of our customers and staff is paramount.
“We appreciate all your messages and appreciate your support during this period.”
