Confident and engaging professionals with success stories, insights, knowledge and skills are invited to submit suggestions to share with the supply chain community Deadline for January 17th, 2025for consideration by the SAPICS Speaker Selection Committee.
The 2025 SAPICS meeting will be held June 8th to 11th, 2025 in Cape Town Under the theme of “Motion In Motion.” Now in its 47th year, SAPICS Conference enables supply chain managers to learn, network and share knowledge. This is becoming increasingly important to this important occupation in today's unstable and uncertain environment.
The theme for 2025, Innovation in Motion conveys the orders for organizations to innovate and strive to innovate and tackle the agility and adaptability needed to quickly respond to potentially chaotic changes and disruptions in today's disrupted supply chain landscape. “In the face of continuous technological advancements, changing global dynamics and pursuing seamless efficiency, customer satisfaction and sustainability, one thing is clear: Innovation is a need for supply chain managers.”
“Adaptability and innovation are key to supply chain success today. If this means leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, accelerating sustainability, and rethinking traditional supply chain models, the need to innovate is more important than ever. This year's theme, Innovation in Motion, encapsulates the dynamic, advanced approach that today's supply chain experts must adopt to stay ahead,” she says.
Speakers who can share inspiring or educational experiences, enlightening expertise and insights, new technologies and concepts, and case studies at the 2025 SAPICS conference. The speaker's contributions can take the form of a 40-minute presentation, a panel discussion, or a workshop. Solo or multiple speakers will be considered in general presentation sessions at next year's events. Robust panel discussions also form part of the program, with SAPICS welcoming applications for topic suggestions and managing panels. The workshops offered are interactive educational sessions for small groups.
“No matter what your inputs take, SAPICS conferences are the ideal platform for supply chain experts to promote knowledge of our profession,” Schoemaker points out. “Sharing supply chain experience and expertise will help fellow experts around the world benefit from your knowledge. Being a speaker at the annual SAPICS conference is also a way to give back to the supply chain community and grow professionally,” she says.
The Sapics Speaker Selection Committee is looking for a fresh perspective to ensure innovative and diverse content for its 2025 participants. All speakers are selected by merit and association, and presentations that directly promote a particular product, service, or financial interest will not be considered. “There's an opportunity to showcase products and services at conferences,” explains Schoemaker.
