Johannesburg – The South African Insurance Institute (IISA) is proud to announce the appointment of Zimkhitha Saungweme as new president.
She will take over Colin Morepe, who served the Institute during her three-year term.
A highly respected leader in the insurance industry, Saungweme brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to advancement in the profession.
Her career has ranged for over 20 years in a variety of senior roles, and during that time she has always advocated for education, ethical standards and transformation in the insurance sector.
“It's an honor to assume the role of president at such a crucial time for the industry,” says Saungweme.
“IISA plays a key role in shaping the future of insurance through education, thinking leadership and professional development.
“We look forward to working closely with our board of directors, members, IISA management and other stakeholders to continue our strong and sustainable profession.”
Retiring President Colin Morepe congratulated Sangwem on her appointment.
“Zimkhitha is a dynamic and visionary leader who will lead IISA to the next chapter,” Molepe said.
“I'm sure she will continue to increase the impact and relevance of the organization.”
