Cape Town – Good Party Leader Patricia De Lille celebrates South African women.

“On this Women's Day, we respect the courage, resilience and leadership of women in South Africa,” said Delir, the Minister of Tourism.

“We celebrate countless women in our community who hold their families and neighborhoods together, including caregivers, earners, community leaders, changemakers.

“To you, we say: “siyabonga, mbo-kodo.” ”

The Minister of Tourism added:

“Chief Mandisa Maya, South Africa's first female Supreme Court justice, is one of those signs of progress.

“Even so, despite these milestones, I remain the only female leader of a political party represented by Congress.”

Excellent Party Leader Delhir lamented that women continue to bear the brunt of South Africa's social and economic crisis.

“The face of poverty is overwhelmingly women, and our country remains fascinated by the tragedy of gender-based violence,” Minister De Lille said.

“To all women who survived the violence, I say: Don't stay silent. Speak up. Your voice matters.”

Every August 9th, South Africa commemorates the 1956 historic women's march. For example, more than 20,000 women have taken them to the city of Pretoria to protest the apartheid pass laws.

Their rebellion is an act of collective strength against an unjust system, reminding women that they are always at the forefront of the struggle for freedom and dignity.

“But this year, a good party is asking us to broaden our gaze across the border,” said party leader De Lille.

“While celebrating the victory and contributions of South African women, we cannot ignore the suffering of women facing Gaza's indescribable atrocities.”

More than 28,000 women and girls have been killed in Gaza since October, according to the United Nations.

Over a million women and girls face starvation.

“This Women's Day will celebrate the strength of women in South Africa by solidarity with women all over the world, especially women whose lives and rights are at stake,” Minister Delhir said.

“Let us honor the spirit of 1956 by continuing to oppose injustice in South Africa and around the world.”
